(Dan, Alex & Scotty want You for their task force. Yes, I totally and shamelessly just lured you with this picture)
OH,HAI everybody !
So, I hope mods won't mind this... Basically, I have to say that I've never been this obsessed with a fandom, especially one that is so much fun and full of cool and hilarious people. You might wonder where I'm going with this ? Here : for the first time ever in my life, I'm going from France to the US, and I will spend a week in NYC before heading to Austin to study (is it becoming clearer ? ^^). I was hoping that some of you will be around for a get together and/or a few drinks? I will be by myself in the big apple, and I think it would be tons of fun. Of course, I'm also interested if you have some advice for me regarding stuffs to do, to eat...I also want to go to NJ
because of Danny , because I'm curious about Bayonne, as I am from the "original" one in France ^^. I will be there from August, 2nd, to the 9th and I IS EXCITED !
I promise I will be on my best behavior, and that I won't bite (unless you like it) :)
(I'm not sure how to manage it here on Lj, so maybe drop me a line here if you're interested, and go to my Lj to work out the details, with everything grouped in one place)

sjè ;jkfeqioâ;jçèCKAWLSJBSDCZÉ. CNLNVMFDkldf;bv,
yup, I will be in my bunk, drooling and trying to reconnect the fuses in my brain
I'll go hide in shame (but you know, not really, because I can't wait to get them.)
SO. Fortunately, I didn’t have class today, which allowed me to obsess about the final. ALL. DAY. LONG.
Which is why I gave you this mammoth of a recap (29pages in Word, WTF). You’ll find a lot of caps, CAPSLOCK, fangirlism and QUESTIONS. So many it might be headache inducing. IDK I HAVE SO MANY FEELINGS.
Basically, there is a chronological recap, and then a few reflexions and question

I'm pretty sure that his character in The Dog Problem is a lot autobiographic. Photography= totally his pick-up technique. Just sayin'. Anyway, I get the feeling that he's far from being an angel when it comes to deal with chicks (yes, chicks, you know he totally says that ^^). So, it might not be obvious, but despite (or maybe thanks to) all this, I like him (on more than just the aesthetic level ^^) as an actor. He's talented, and not just in acting. I think his pictures are good, and the two movies he wrote that I watched were well written. The dialogs, the characters were really enjoyable. I'm not a really big fan of the whole "I'm an artist, this is kind of beneath me" deal he have going one, though. A bit too much pompous, if you ask me, but then again, maybe it's a part of his cocky way ^^
Anyway, getting back to Mercy, it gave me the feeling of being an authentic movie, but also very delicate, in the way some things are not told, the way it can be in the real life, and it was very well reflected in the directing, too. So yup, all this for this one phrase review. Well, I should add that I found it really beautiful, and Scotty blew my mind with his performance, all the characters were really good and perfectly interpreted. So yeah, a really, really good movie, one that I truly enjoyed, because there was some fun touches, but it was also very touching, and modest, too. Oh, and pretty, of course
Here, that's it. Sorry for the rambling, I guess ? It's 3 in the morning, I'm kinda allowed :)
PS: this movie launched a theory I have about Scott. He's like a "petit beurre" : it's a small, square, all golden biscuit, with round edge. It's really good, buttery and sweet :3. I love those. Proof :
Ok. That's all for now
Rating: PG-13, for swearing and allusion
Disclaimer: I own nothing, I make no money from this
Author Notes: So, this whole thing started with the Take Your Fandom Home Day at leupagus . I didn't really plan to write this "soon" in this fandom, but once I started, it wouldn't go away
Summary: The boys on honeymoon in Paris
Word Count: 1293
A/N: I played a little bit with it since I first posted it, for the better in my opinion ^^. It's still Unbeta-ed though, and as you may have guessed, english isn't my first language, so don't hesitate to point me any mistakes !
A/N: So, I currently live in Paris for my studies, which explain how this came up. But the truth is that I come from a little seaside town in the South of France, Biarritz, and I felt a little bit of a traitor to not write about, which is why there is a sequel coming ! \o/
A/N: the little inside joke to myself is that I am part of the group of people playing flag football on Sundays ^^
( Summer In ParisCollapse )
Pushy is the key word here with Kaye and the way she was introduced, in my opinion. I don't know, it was kinda weird... it seems like the writer are not very sure if they want her to be a love interest, and with who, so they tested the water, first with Danny and the "one on one time" (gosh, he really need to get laid lol) and then with Steve, who just used the same sentence, the whole "we're gonna get along great"... Plus the fact that the story with her fiance happened 3 years ago, which kinda the ideal amount of time to say "okay, it's been quite a long time, even if she still feel guilty and want to catch Wo Fat, she can move on with her love life without being a bitch ^^ I am a bit skeptical about all that, because even if I found her really cute, and I think that she have a lot of potential, with her back-story and what she can bring to the McGarett investigation, and comic relief with the 'geek who want to be a agent" thingy, I really don't think there was a lot of chemistry between them, especially compared to the "interactions" between Cath and Steve. And of course Steve and Danno, but as I am sure that the writers like to play with our imagination, it's pretty certain that they won't go down that road, or maybe, like in the serie final, and not much more than a big hint and a fade to black... That's why the friends-with-benefits story is ideal for McGarett .
Also, as I said earlier, I did find Jenna cutie as a pie, but I don't really bought the way Danny was all "WHO's that", because she's more the girl next door type than the turning head type... But then again, Danno only saw her in a suit, trying to look tough, and I am fairly certain that Danny have a really distinct thing for women who can kick his ass XD. I have to admit, though, that I'm a bit divided on this particular point, because as a, you know, average, kinda geeky girl, it could be cool to see the "nice" girl get the guy from time to time, but I'm not sure it would work with this particular character ..
So, yeah, in the end, I didn't hate Jenna. Another feminine presence could be good for the team, as well as fresh blood, but I not convinced yet that she's the answer. And definitely not as a love interest, but then again, maybe she's going to shine in her next episodes, and I'm going to love her, but so far, not really. I'm going to have to sit tight and see where it's going.
